Bio

Ceilidh is a McCallum. This means that she's a member of a family designated by the Morrigan to watch over and protect Eire. They are what their world is called "hero" family, gifted with Hero's Luck - the ability to get things done in the nick of time. She grew up in the ancestral family home, Thorn Hall which is in County Cork, outside of Blackthorn with a lot of aunts and uncles. Her mother has twelve siblings - thirteen children in all - and about seven of them were at home at any given time. Ceilidh herself has a brother, Simon who is two years older than her and six cousins - only three of which are in her age range. The three boys were born almost thirty years before she was so she sees them more like uncles than cousins. Her father is a complete unknown to her and she doesn't really care to know who he is; she's a McCallum - that's all she needs to know and that's all that matters.

At her naming she was gifted by a fairy with three traditional fairy gifts: to have a large heart, a swift mind and a kind soul, which made her rather exuberant as a child that mostly has worn off.

She also grew up in a time of great world upheaval. The Old Gods made a play to return to their old powers and nearly succeeded. Her eldest uncle, Dara, was freed from the Clutching Grove - an ancient evil grove of trees dedicated to destroying and devouring all souls it could find - the grove itself finally finding peace. That brought the biggest change as he'd been given up as lost and now he's back but still not always here. Watching her aunts and uncles deal with him like they've gotten a ghost back instead of their brother is heart wrenching and nothing she can do helps with it. Though she does spend time with Dara trying to keep him in the here.

Though she wants to be a Super Sekrit Assassin like her favorite uncle and aunt, she's decided to go to drama school before joining the army. There she could learn how to deal with her - as her family teases her - drama llama tendencies as well as learning how to become different people. Also she does love acting much like her mother loves singing.


Skills and powers

Ceilidh is competent and familiar with most weapons from knives and swords to guns and bows - this is part of her training as a McCallum. She's also trained in physical, hand to hand combat, tactics, survival and monster lore.

Her magical abilities are being able to speak to and understand any sort of animal and being able to find things.

Though she is unaware of it, she is also half dragon.
