Aspects
Character high concept: This is the archetype, the embodiment/essence of who your character. The elevator pitch, one sentence version of your character. Explain your reasoning.
Hyper-Active Teenage McCallum is the high concept for Ceilidh as McCallums are wild spirits as children filled with a need to express it in odd bits of violence and the energy focuses into stability (usually) as adults that lets them channel the need for violence productively. But as a teenager they're caught at learning how to channel those impulses into productiveness as well as getting a good handle on their knacks and finally being competent enough with their weapon work to be possibly be useful but not as often as they'd like.
So this is a person caught between things: adulthood and childhood and responsibility and not.
Character Trouble: Trouble is what causes your characters problems in life. Things that they can't help doing. Explain your reasoning for it.
Ceilidh's trouble is "I will be friends with everyone." This may not seem problematic at first except that if Ceilidh will be friends with everyone she might not realize the people she's trying to be friends with aren't the nicest of sorts. It can blind her to their faults and possible problems. She's not suspicious of people who she should probably be suspicious of, especially for someone in her line of work.
Where did you come from (background)?: This is essentially your history. Things that defined you as a child and your world. Aspects from here should be from a major event in your childhood or in the world around you.
Aspect: Descendant of Eire Heroes
Ceilidh's family is one of an ancient bloodline starting with the Morrigan herself that is deeply entwined in the history of Eire -what her world calls Ireland. Her world is one where magic is part of the everyday world. Everyone has a knack, or magical ability, and magic is used for many common day things. The gods themselves also
A great deal of the countries in her world have what are called "hero families"; families that are dedicated to protection of the country to the point of possibly being magically bonded to it. For Eire it's the McCallums. They are cursed to protect the land and one of the gateways into Fairy. This is something that they take very seriously and have trained the children in every generation to take seriously to the point that it's just expected and ingrained.
What Shaped you?
Aspect: Fairies, and Ravens and dragons and more oh my.
First, for starters, Ceilidh is half dragon, though she doesn't know it. Her mother, a famous and highly popular Eire singer, has an inordinate fondness for dragons. As her father was never in her life and never important to her, she doesn't know this. Only a few people know of this at home.
Then there are gifted children and there are gifted children. Ceilidh is a gifted child in that a fairy gifted her with three gifts at her naming. Those being to have a large heart, a swift mind and a kind soul, which made her rather exuberant as a child that mostly has worn off.
Growing up in Thorn Hall exposes her to all sorts of interesting things. Ceilidh enjoyed exploring the woods and area around the Hall finding all sorts of strange critters and bringing them home; from baby griffins to bats that could breathe fire. Her knack allows her to find things and in her case she was interested in finding animals. At the same time she learned the craft of being a McCallum
